Tour Scotland short 4K Spring travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a Kilt and Sporran and walking by a Sentinel Standing Stone on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. Standing stones in the Scottish Highlands, often referred to as silent sentinels, are Neolithic or Bronze Age monuments that have survived for roughly 3,000 to 5,000 years. These " stone giants " are found in isolated moors, glens, and coastlines, often acting as boundary markers, burial site guardians, or astronomical observatories. Sometimes, uncollected stones from, a battle were built into a cairn, with remaining, uncollected stones representing the fallen, a, " silent sentinel " over, the dead. They are typically, described as having, an, " eerie " or " magical" feel when visited alone. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. The date for astronomical Spring is 20th March, ending on 21st June
