Tour Scotland Self Catering Holiday Cottage Recommendations Applecross
Tour Scotland self catering holiday cottage recommendations in Applecross in the Highlands of Scotland.
Eagle Rock is a luxurious, secluded, award winning eco-lodge, 15 minutes walk from the Michelin 3 Star-rated Applecross Inn, nestled in the unspoiled Scottish Highlands. This house is special. Designed by an award-winning architect, wilderness, luxury, and ever-changing vistas make Eagle Rock a jaw dropping experience. The house has 557 square meters of space, 6,000 square feet, with a playful flow of intimate, cosy nooks and large living spaces. It also features fireplaces, a stunning lighting scheme to fit different moods and functions, a huge deck and unique garden. All of these features make it a popular destination for couples.
Tigh A Bhroc is a spacious and comfortable house, ideal for couples, families or groups of friends who are looking for peace and privacy. It is at the southernmost end of the Applecross coast road, four miles from Applecross village, and faces south across Loch Toscaig towards the Isle of Skye. There is unrestricted access to the rocky shore from the front of the house, which looks out onto a delightful, secluded bay: canoeists and kayakers can launch directly from the garden. The front lawn also has a sunken area with stone seating, overlooking the sea: ideal for a barbecue. An enclosed garden at the back provides ample parking space.
Tigh Ruaraidh is a spacious four bedroomed house equipped to an exceptionally high standard with a high end VisitScotland 4* rating. It is situated in the small township of Lonbain, only 4 houses, 7 miles north of Applecross village. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind from the hurly-burly of modern life. Tigh Ruaraidh suits couples looking for that romantic haven but is equally perfect for families or groups of friends. The garden is fenced and is therefore completely safe for children to play in. There are several sandy beaches close by, the nearest being Sand. Bird life in abundance and many species are recorded from Wrens to the magnificent White-tailed Eagle. Otters are frequently seen from the house.
