Old Photograph Jubilee Clock Tower South Queensferry Scotland

Old photograph of the Jubilee Tolbooth Clock Tower in South Queensferry near Edinburgh, Scotland. The Tolbooth was erected in the 17th century. It was remodelled around 1720, when the square clock tower was added. The clock tower contains two bells, one dated 1694 and the other 1723. There is now a four faced Jubilee Clock that was built into the top of the tower to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Castle Bank Works were clock makers and Robert Brown, of Forth Bridge Works, was the architect of the Jubilee Clock. Further alterations were made in 1890.
