Tour Scotland photograph of pies and bridies at Fisher and Donaldson Bakers in Dundee, Scotland. Bridies are said " to have been 'invented " by a Forfar baker in the 1850s. The name may refer to the pie's frequent presence on wedding menus, or to Margaret Bridie of Glamis, who sold them at the Buttermarket in Forfar. They are similar to pasties, but because they are made without potatoes, are much lighter in texture.

Doughnuts are usually deep fried from a flour dough and often filled. Other types of batters can also be used, and various toppings and flavorings are used for different types, such as sugar, chocolate, or maple glazing. In addition to flour, doughnuts may also include such ingredients as water, leavening, eggs, milk, sugar, oil/shortening, natural flavors and/or artificial flavors.

Tour Scotland photograph of the City Square in Dundee, Scotland. Until the industrial revolution the current City Centre represented the full extent of the City of Dundee. Now roughly encircled by the Marketgait dual carriageway, the city centre is now the main shopping and commercial district. Unlike the city centre of Glasgow many of the city centre’s streets, especially in the southern and eastern quarters) are not built on a grid plan and in that way have more in common with street plan of the Old Town of Edinburgh, although most buildings in Dundee’s city centre date from the 19th century or later.

He first appeared in its first issue, dated 4 December 1937. He is apparently the world's strongest man, able to lift a cow with one hand. Even his beard is so tough he has to shave with a blowtorch.

One of Millais' famous pictures is "Autumn Leaves" and these form part of the frame. The cut corners refer to immortality and are reminders of Effie Gray, Millais' wife. John Everett Millais painted many of his famous works in Perth.

Tour Scotland Winter photograph of the church in Amulree, Perthshire, Scotland. Amulree Church was built between 1743 and 1752 and remodelled in 1882. Built to a simple design it has both a bellcote and weather vane. The architect was a John Douglas of Edinburgh. The Amulree church bell was cast in 1519. Amulree parish church contains copies of records of the large number of people who stayed in the area prior to mass emigration, mostly to North Easthope, Canada, in the early 19th Century.

It formed part of the route Highland drovers would use to bring their livestock to the cattle market at Crieff and Falkirk. The Celtic place name was Ath Maol Ruibhe meaning Maol Rubha's ford.
