Tour Scotland short 4K Spring Thursday wildlife nature camera travel video clip of the sight and sounds of beautiful, sociable, black and white Magpie Birds spotted eating on morning visit and trip to my Scottish cottage garden in Scone by Perth, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. The magpie bird is one of our most familiar birds and the source of much myth and legend: '" ne for sorrow, two for a joy "is a rhyme that many children learn. Magpies are, in fact, small crows, and are omnivorous, feeding on carrion, invertebrates, and chicks and eggs. They are sociable birds and are often seen in small groups across many habitats, from gardens to parks, and heaths to hedges. The magpie is an unmistakeable long tailed bird. It is mainly black, with a white belly and white patches on the shoulders and wings. Folklore surrounds the magpie: from providing good luck when greeted, to being in league with the Devil, its ubiquitous presence has provided plenty of opportunities for stories. Many surround religion, including the belief that it didn't mourn with all the other birds at Christ's crucifixion, and that it refused to enter Noah's Ark, preferring to stay on the roof and swear for the whole journey. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing. The date for astronomical spring is 20th March, ending on 21st June

Tour Scotland short 4K Spring travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a Kilt and Sporran and walking by plants, trees and flowers in a garden on Outlander, ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to Midhope Castle near South Quensferry, Britain, United Kingdom. It is also known as Lallybroch or Broch Tuarach. During the latter 16th century, the castle belonged to Alexander Drummond of Midhope, brother to Robert Drummond of Carnock, Master of Work to the Crown of Scotland. A stone inscribed " AD 1582 MB " commemorates Alexander and his wife Marjory Bruce. Midhope Castle is featured as a location in the Outlander TV series on Starz as the main character, Jamie Fraser's family home. Midhope Castle is the real castle that is portrayed as Lallybroch, and is not in Inverness-shire in the Highlands, as detailed in the book, but actually located between South Queensferry and Linlithgow on the edges of the private Hopetoun Estate, which includes the well known Hopetoun House. Scotsman Walking Wearing Kilt In Garden On Spring History Visit To Dunimarle Castle Fife Scotland
Tour Scotland short 4K Spring travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a Kilt and Sporran and walking by plants and flowers in a garden on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to Dunimarlee Castle near Culross in Fife, Britain, United Kingdom. The estate was owned by the Blaw family from the 16th century until 1830. The site included an earlier castle, now ruined, traditionally linked to Lady Macduff. In 1830, the estate was purchased by Lady Margaret Keith of Tulliallan, and shortly after, Magdalene Sharpe Erskine transformed the property into the mansion house seen today. The house was rebuilt by architects R and R Dickson in 1839. The exterior of Dunimarle was used as a filming location in the 2000 movie The Little Vampire. Spring Road Trip Drive With Bagoipes Music Over Clackmannanshire Bridge On Visit To Fife Scotland
Tour Scotland 4K Spring travel video, with Scottish bagpies music, of a road trip drive North over Clackmannanshire Bridge, a road bridge over the River of Forth on history visit to Fife, Britain, United Kingdom. The bridge opened to traffic on 19 November 2008, and is positioned in an area where three council area boundaries converge. The North approach road to the bridge leaves from Clackmannanshire, the bridge itself standing in Fife, and the south approach to the bridge is within Falkirk. This means that the span of the bridge is within Fife; however, it can only be accessed by travelling through either Clackmannanshire or Falkirk council areas. Due to this unique situation a minor row over naming broke out between those local authorities with a vested interest. Clackmannanshire Council voted to suggest " Clackmannanshire Bridge " even though two other councils, Fife and Falkirk, are involved and no part of the bridge would be inside the Clackmannanshire area. Fife Council responded with " Kingdom Bridge " referring to the historic kingdom of Fife. Other suggestions included " Wallace Bridge " after Sir William Wallace. Following a public consultation, the Scottish Government announced on 1 October 2008 that the name Clackmannanshire Bridge was to be adopted. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. When driving on Scottish roads in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip. The date for astronomical spring is Sunday 20th March, ending on Tuesday 21st June
