Tour Scotland Video Beautiful Autumn Drive A9 Road To Bruar Highland Perthshire
Tour Scotland video of a beautiful Autumn road trip drive North on the A9 road to Dunkeld, Ballinluig, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl on ancestry, genealogy visit to Bruar in Highland Perthshire, Scotland. The A9 is a major road running from central Scotland to Scrabster Harbour, Thurso in the far north, via Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Perth and Inverness. At 273 miles, it is the longest road in Scotland and the fifth longest A road in the United Kingdom. Historically it was the main road between Edinburgh and John o' Groats, and has been called the spine of Scotland. Drive with great care and patience on this road as it regularly appears in lists of Scotland's most dangerous roads.

Old Photograph Church River Braan Amulree Perthshire Scotland
Old photograph of the church, situated on a knoll, overlooking the River Braan at Amulree, Perthshire, Scotland. Amulree parish church contains copies of records of the large number of people who stayed in the area prior to mass emigration, mostly to North Easthope, Canada, in the early 19th Century. The architect of the church was John Douglas of Edinburgh, a near contemporary of William Adam and it is thought that he was also responsible for the design of Killin church, the Palladianisation of Blair Castle, alterations at Taymouth Castle and the repairs to the palace of Holyrood.
