Tour Scotland Video Heavy Rain Annaty Burn Perth Perthshire
Tour Scotland video of heavy rain at Annaty Burn located North of Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. According to local legend, in 1296 when it was known that King Edward I was going to remove the Stone of Destiny to England, monks from Scone Abbey are reputed to have removed the stone and hidden it in a safe place, and replaced it with a stone that was taken from the Annaty Burn. This may explain why some believe that the Stone of Destiny which rests in Edinburgh Castle is formed from exactly the kind of stone that is found. Burn is a Scots word for small river or stream.

Tour Scotland Video Vehicles Driving Through Flooding A93 Road Perthshire
Tour Scotland travel video of vehicles driving through a flooding A93 road during heavy rain on visit and trip North of Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. The A93 is a major road in Scotland and the highest public road in the United Kingdom. It runs north from Perth through Blairgowrie and Rattray, then through the Grampian Mountains by way of Glenshee, the Cairnwell Pass and Glen Clunie to Braemar in Aberdeenshire. At Braemar, the road then switches east down the strath of the River Dee before crossing the A90 and terminating in Aberdeen.

Tour Scotland Video Rainy Morning Drive To Scone Perthshire
Tour Scotland video of a rainy morning drive from Perth, to Scone, Perthshire, Scotland. The medieval village of Scone, which grew up around the monastery and royal residence, was abandoned in the early 19th century when the residents were removed and a new palace was built on the site by the Earl of Mansfield. Hence the modern village of Scone. The new village was built in 1805 as a planned village and was originally called New Scone. I live in Scone village.

Tour Scotland Video Morning Drive Into Dundee Tayside
Tour Scotland video of a cloudy morning drive along Perth Road and South Tay Street to the West Port on ancestry visit to the city of Dundee, Scotland. The original West Port was one of the chief Gates of the burgh, as it controlled all traffic going westward or coming from that direction. It is probable that Sir William Wallace made his escape through it to the Carse of Gowrie after he had slain the son of Governor Selbie.
