During the Industrial Revolution, the village also became a centre for fishing and shipbuilding. This Scottish village on the east shore of Loch Linnhe, together with North Ballachulish at the entrance to Loch Leven, forms Nether Lochaber. Tour Scotland Video View From The Top Of Pictish Tower Abernethy Perthshire



Tour Scotland video view from the top of the Round Tower on ancestry visit to Abernethy, Perthshire, Scotland. The Pictish Tower tower stands 74 feet high, and you can climb to the top using an internal spiral staircase. The village was once the capital of the Pictish kingdom. The parish church, which sits on land given by Nechtan,a king of the Picts, is dedicated to Saint Brigid of Kildare and the church is said to have been founded by Dairlugdach, second abbess of Kildare, one of early Christian Ireland's major monasteries.
