Tour Scotland video view from the top of the Round Tower on ancestry visit to Abernethy, Perthshire, Scotland. The Pictish Tower tower stands 74 feet high, and you can climb to the top using an internal spiral staircase. The village was once the capital of the Pictish kingdom. The parish church, which sits on land given by Nechtan,a king of the Picts, is dedicated to Saint Brigid of Kildare and the church is said to have been founded by Dairlugdach, second abbess of Kildare, one of early Christian Ireland's major monasteries.
