Old photograph of Dallas village, Moray, Scotland. Although not well known, many larger settlements around the world are named after it. George Mifflin Dallas, whose family originally came from here, became the Vice President of the US, and Dallas, Texas may have been named after him. In Australia, Dallas, a suburb of Melbourne is also named after it.
