Known in Scottish Gaelic as Tràigh Ghearadha it is a dramatic, visually striking beach located at the northern terminus of the B895 road near the village of North Tolsta, it serves as the literal " end of the road " for vehicles traveling up the island's eastern coastline. The defining features are the spectacular Garry Monoliths clustered at the south end of the beach. Formed from three billion year old Lewisian Gneiss, these jagged dark pillars and sea stacks tower over the silver sand.
