Tour Scotland short 4K Summer travel video clip, with Scottish bagpipes music, of the lighthouse on Eilean Musdile an islet located to the South West of Lismore on history visit and trip to Firth of Lorn or Lorne, Inner Hebrides, Britain, United Kingdom. It was built in 1833 by Robert Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board. The lighthouse stands at the entrance to the Sound of Mull, guiding ships into Loch Linnhe and the Caledonian Canal. The Northern Lighthouse Board purchased Eilean Musdile in 1830, and the lighthouse was completed in 1833. It serves as a crucial aid to navigation, guiding ships through the Sound of Mull, the Firth of Lorne, and into Loch Linnhe. Three of the sons of Robert Stevenson became engineers: David, Alan, and Thomas. Robert's other children included Joseph, who immigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1832, and Jane, who assisted in writing and illustrating an account of the Bell Rock Lighthouse construction. Robert Louis Stevenson was his grandson, via Thomas, and Katharine de Mattos was his granddaughter. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
