Late Autumn Road Trip Drive To Visit Kingoodie Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland late Autumn travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, on ancestry visit to to village of Kingoodie in Perthshire. A hamlet in the Carse of Gowrie, Perth and Kinross, Kingoodie lies on the River Tay estuary, 4 miles West of Dundee. The village owes its origin to nearby quarries which supplied fine building stone for several centuries. The stone was particularly valued for harbour works and constructing sea walls. A small harbour here was used in the 19th Century to export stone and import coal. The shore is easily accessible and close to the Firth of Tay.
