Spring Road Trip Drive From Dunfermline To Kelty Fife Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of a Spring road trip drive, with Scottish bagpipes and drums music, from Dunfermline, on the B915 and B914 roads on visit to Kelty in Fife. Kelty, Scottish Gaelic: Cailtidh, is a former coal mining village in the heart of the old mining heartlands of Fife. A settlement was established here by 1600, when Keltey appeared as a village on the line of the stagecoach road between Edinburgh, via the ferry, and Perth. Kelty is situated on the Fife and Perthshire boundary, next to the main Edinburgh to Perth road, the M90 motorway, and as a result of this has seen a large number of houses built primarily for commuters to Edinburgh over the past five years. To the East of Kelty is Loch Ore and, beyond, the villages of Ballingry and Lochore, while a little over a mile and a half to the South East is Cowdenbeath.
