Road Trip Drive With Music From Elie On History Visit To St Andrews Fife

Tour Scotland 4K travel video of part of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, on the A917 coast road East from Elie, then North on the B9131 route on ancestry, genealogy, history visit to the outskirts of St Andrews, Fife, Britain, Unite Kingdom. Elie is in the East Neuk of Fife which is the Scots word for nook or corner, and the East Neuk is generally accepted to comprise the fishing villages of the most northerly part of the Firth of Forth, as such it would include places in this video such as Elie, St Monans, Pittenweem and Anstruther. The name St Andrews derives from the town's claim to be the resting place of bones of the apostle Andrew. According to legend, St Regulus, or St Rule, brought the relics to Kilrymont, where a shrine was established for their safekeeping and veneration while Kilrymont was renamed in honour of the saint. This is the origin of a third name for the town Kilrule. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
