Spring Drive From Glenfarg Through City Of Perth Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland Spring travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, from Glenfarg along single tracks roads, then through Bridge of Earn and onwards, down Edinburgh Road and, through the city centre to Bridgend on visit to Perth. Perthshire. Streets and roads much quieter than usual. Perth has been known as The Fair City since the publication of the story Fair Maid of Perth by Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott in 1828. During the later medieval period the city was also called St John's Toun or Saint Johnstoun by its inhabitants in reference to the main church dedicated to St John the Baptist. Bridgend was settled from at least the sixteenth century. It was formerly a leper colony and a place for the less desirables from the city of Perth, Scotland. A single track road or one lane road is a road that permits two way travel but is not wide enough in most places to allow vehicles to pass one another, although sometimes two compact cars can pass. This kind of road is common in rural areas across the United Kingdom and elsewhere. The term is widely used in Scotland, particularly in the Highlands and Islands.
