Old Photograph Dunnet Hotel Castletown Scotland

Old photograph of people outside the Dunnet Hotel in Castletown near Wick, Scotland. Much of Castletown was built during the 19th century boom years of Caithness as a source of flagstone. Much of the stone was processed in the harbour area of the village, known as Castlehill, and many of the streets of London, England, Sydney, Australia, Edinburgh and the financial district of New York City in the USA are paved with it.

I'm fairly certain this building is in Dunnet itself rather than on the other side of the bay in Castletown. I have a near identical photo which shows Dunnet Parish Church off to the left. It's now known as the Northern Sands.
