Tour Scotland Travel Video Drive East A838 Road Sutherland Highlands

Tour Scotland travel video of part of a road trip drive East on the A838 road in Sutherland on ancestry visit to the North Coast 500 West Highlands of Scotland. The road runs close to five lochs: Loch Shin, Loch a' Ghriama, Loch Merkland, Loch More and Loch Stack as well as the coastal inlet of the Kyle of Durness. The road loops south to skirt Loch Eriboll, and the Kyle of Tongue Bridge and causeway across the Kyle of Tongue. This is a part of Britain with resonant names that seem to connect with a distant past, ancient regions called Assynt, Sutherland, Wester Ross, Caithness. You can drive mile after mile and see very few other vehicles on the road.
