Old photograph of the Post Office and houses in Abington, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The village lies on a major Roman route connecting the Clyde to forts as far as Musselburgh. Evidence of Roman forts and earthworks remains in the surrounding hills, such as at Arbory Hill.
