Old photograph of Hermiston House, Edinburgh, Scotland. Hermiston began as the dower house for the Riccarton Estate, built in 1633. It was remodelled by the architect William Burn, born 1789, died 1870, who lived here in 1830. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
