Old Photograph Fountainhall Scotland

Old photograph of houses and people in Fountainhall by Stow located seven miles North of Galashiels, Borders, Scotland. In 1685, the lands here were purchased by Sir John Lauder, a merchant burgess of Edinburgh. His son, also Sir John Lauder, became a prominent lawyer and judge known as Lord Fountainhall.
