Courtyard Cottage is located in Gordon Castle Estate, has views over the garden and is adjacent to the castle. It is ideal for families looking for a relaxing break in an area of peace and tranquillity or for the eager fisherman with some of the best fishing in the UK right on your doorstep. Gordon Castle Estate is located nine miles east of Elgin and twelve miles west of Keith at the western end of the historic village of Fochabers in the Highlands of Scotland. The Estate offers three holiday cottages and also many local activities and attractions. For instance, the Gordon Castle and Brae Water beats on the River Spey are amongst the most famous for salmon fishing in the world and the Estate also offers shooting and roe deer stalking. There are numerous other attractions and activities close by including many local golf courses and over twenty within a forty mile radius. In the heart of malt whisky country, many distilleries offer tours and you may also enjoy dolphin watching at Spey Bay, walking along The Speyside Way, riding the Monster Bike Trails, or visiting other attractions such as the Speyside Whisky Cooperage, the Landmark Forest Theme Park, numerous castles, Tugnet Ice House, and much more. Not far are the majestic Cairngorms as well as Inverness and Loch Ness.

This former Church of Scotland Manse is set in extremely secluded and professionally maintained grounds within a few minutes' walk of the banks of the River Spey, famous throughout the world for its Salmon fishing and scenery.
In the heart of the Scottish Whisky and Castle trails, this house provides groups of up to 9 the ideal base to explore the North East of Scotland, where dolphin spotting is possible at the WDCS wildlife centre, walks along the Speyside, way Tugnet ice house, monster bike trails, Speyside cooperage, golf courses, forest walks and during the winter months, skiing, mean there is something for everyone in this beautiful part of the world. The rural village of Fochabers is situated 10 miles from the small Cathedral city of Elgin where there is the local train station and larger shops available. The property has a large basement, take care on 200 year old well worn stone steps, with games room which includes an American style pool table, free to use if careful, and small Gym, complete with treadmill, bike, rowing machine etc. The Ground floor comprises the main entrance hall, the main living room complete with suit of armour an open fire with wood supplied, the dining room, which can seat up to 12, the kitchen and the study/WC. The living room also has a 50 inch television with Freeview and Blu-ray/DVD player complete with a large selection of films for all ages. There is also a large collection of books, both factual and fiction for guests use. The first floor comprises 3 bedrooms and the main bathroom, which has a Sauna, Shower with Steam facility and Whirlpool bath that seats 2 comfortably. The master bedroom has a huge Super King size sleigh bed, 3m high corniced ceilings and an en-suite with roll top bath and double shower. It has Two large windows with views out over the gardens. The second bedroom has a king size sleigh bed and en-suite shower room with electric shower and views over the front lawn. The third bedroom has a king size bed with views to the rear of the property. The final bedroom is on the top floor and has sloping coombed ceilings. This room has a king size bed and a single and is very spacious. There is a vanity unit for brushing teeth etc. to save going to the main bathroom below. This bedroom has a window that looks out over the front lawn and out over the mature trees to the hills beyond. All towels, bed linen, central heating, electric and wi-fi included. Beach towels are available for taking out of the property. Unfortunately the property is no smoking and no pets are allowed in the house due to owners allergies.
