Ancestry Genealogy Photographs Gretna Green Dumfries And Galloway Scotland

Tour Scotland wee video of photographs of Gretna Green, Dumfries and Galloway. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. This is a Scottish village in the south of Scotland famous for runaway weddings. It is near the mouth of the River Esk and was historically the first village in Scotland, following the old coaching route from London to Edinburgh. Gretna Green is one of the world's most popular wedding destinations. Since 1929 both parties in Scotland have had to be at least 16 years old, but they still may marry without parental consent.
