River View Cottage sleeps six and has two double rooms (one with four poster), one with en-suite shower, and one twin room. Tasteful family bath with separate shower as well as ground floor WC/cloakroom. This modern, comfortable, 4 star cottage sits on the edge of Taymouth Castle golf course in the pretty loch side conservation village of Kenmore. There is a large deck to the rear of the property which overlooks the River Tay and is ideal for outdoor dining. Golf, horse riding, loch side beach, fishing, water sports, cycling, boat hire and riverside and forest walks are all within a dew minutes walking distance. The village boasts excellent facilities including a Pub, bistro, restaurant, deli, gift shop, Post Office, tea room and boating centre. The house offers everything you would expect of a luxury holiday cottage and is in an excellent location, priced for a fantastic family holiday.
Kenmore Club cottage style accommodation, set in the original walled garden for the nearby Taymouth Castle, makes for an idyllic holiday and caters for all ages. Activities in such beautiful surroundings are numerous, 2 excellent golf courses within walking distance, riding at Taymouth Mains, walks for all abilities, be it strolling by Loch Tay or climbing Ben Lawers mountain, sailing, canoeing and fishing on the Loch or closer to home the use of the Kenmore Club leisure centre featuring a swimming pool, sauna and gym. Tennis courts are also on site, along with a children's play area and a restaurant close to Reception. For the less active Pitlochry, 30 minutes drive away, offers an excellent theatre with a very good repertory season. All the cottages have been built in the style of Kenmore village with generous balconies which look over the Loch and well tended gardens. The cottage provides for 6 people with two bedrooms downstairs (one with large kingsize bed, the other with twin beds) and both have adjoining bathrooms. A washing machine and drying area is also downstairs. Upstairs there is a very well appointed large lounge with sliding doors on to the balcony, comfortable chairs and sofas, a large put-up bed, TV, dining area and very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. A very good local store is situated in the village along with very good eateries at the Kenmore Hotel and the Mains of Taymouth, just over the road from the Club.
Deri Mhor Cottage, enjoy a relaxing holiday in our house on the banks of Loch Tay in the conservation village of Kenmore or have our house as your base for the many countryside activities in the area. The house has a main bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with two single beds and a large shower room on the first floor. Downstairs is a lounge/diner with a log burner fire and a well equipped kitchen; there is a fridge with a small freezer compartment and no tumble dryer but a clothes drying frame. The whole house is heated by modern electric radiators. You can sit outside in the front garden and watch the activities on the Loch just across the road or just enjoy looking down the Loch to Ben Lawers. There is a small enclosed back garden(ideal for your dog) and an area of decking for you to relax in private. Nearby there is boating, swimming and fishing on the Loch; golf and horse riding on the other side of the river in the village; walking all around and many other activities if you think you are relaxing too much. There is boat and bicycle hire nearby. There is a village shop and post office, an historic old hotel with its restaurant and bar, a deli, gift shop, restaurant and bar and another restaurant in the village, so there is always somewhere to go if you don't want to self cater; these are open all year round.The nearest town is Aberfeldy which is blessed with all the shops and facilities that you would expect from a thriving town. The nearest city is Perth which is approximately 40 miles away. And of course you are in the middle of Scotland that has so much to offer. There is WiFi available at the Hotel and Mains and a computer in the Post Office.
Weaver's Cottage is an award winning 3 bedroom cottage of great character situated on the banks of the Keltney Burn in the heart of Highland Perthshire, just 5 miles from the pretty town of Aberfeldy, shops, restaurants, hotels, river walks along the Birks, and less than 3 miles from the historic village of Kenmore which is situated at one end of Loch Tay. The bright and spacious accommodation is furnished and equipped to an exceptionally high standard including a stunning shower room with under floor heating. The delightful sitting room has a wood burning stove and deep, comfortable sofas, making it a cosy retreat for all seasons. The cottage has lovely views of the surrounding countryside and French doors leading to the garden through which runs the Keltney Burn. The surrounding countryside is famed for its natural beauty. Not to be missed is the Fortingall Yew, at 5,000 years it is probably the oldest tree in Europe. Interestingly it was already ancient when the Romans came this way and legend has it that Fortingall was the birthplace of Pontius Pilate. The lovely conservation village of Kenmore lies just over 2 miles away at one end of Loch Tay (shop, pub, water sports, iron age settlement). At the other end of the loch the village of Killin, shops, hotels etc; straddles the stunning Falls of Dochart. From Killin, Loch Lomond and Scotland's West Coast are within easy driving distance. The area is ideal for numerous outdoor pursuits including fishing, golfing, walking, mountain biking and watersports (kayaking, rafting, canyoning). Low level, forest and mountain walks are virtually on the doorstep. Walkers can enjoy everything from level woodland strolls to the challenges of Glen Lyon (one of the loveliest of Scottish glens and teeming with wildlife, including the elusive capercaillie. Mountain bikers have Drummond Hill on the doorstep with miles of tracks whilst, for walkers, the famous nearby Schiehallion (one of many local Munros can be reached within minutes.
