Tour Scotland Self Catering Holiday Cottage Recommendations Dunbar East Lothian
Tour Scotland self catering holiday cottage recommendation in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland.
Stables Cottage is a charming, well-located two bedroom cottage, just one minute's walk from Dunbar's East Beach. It has a large enclosed garden, perfect for small children, and there are numerous activities for children and adults on our door. It's within a five minute walk of both the train station and the high street and steps away from the East beach, excellent for kayaking. We are within walking distance of: two golf courses, Dunbar and Winterfield. Enjoy Leisure pool with flume and wave machine, and excellent restaurants. The John Muir trail goes right past the cottage, and a longer walk takes you to the sandy beach at Belhaven Bay, suitable for surfing and bathing. Dunbar is also a very good base for exploring the rest of East Lothian, which has many lovely walks, some demanding hill walking and many tourist attractions.
No 4 The Granary is a luxury 1st floor apartment situated within a former granary. Modernised to a high standard with panoramic views over three harbours, the Bass Rock and the Isle of May. The property is furnished to a high standard and would suit golfers, walkers, young families or older couples looking to relax. Comfortable accommodation consists of large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, two large bedrooms, one king and two singles, shower room and utility room. Many extras to help make holidays stress free including washing and drying facilities, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Award winning restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within walking distance. Edinburgh 20 mins away by train for world class museums, art gallery's and the Edinburgh Festival and Military Tattoo.
Crowhill is a spacious and comfortable cottage attached to farmhouse located in picturesque countryside setting a few minutes south of Dunbar only 1/2 mile away from beautiful beaches. Ideal location for family or golfing, walking or fishing or surfing or indeed any outdoors activities. Set within large garden and orchard grounds with lots of off road parking and storage available. You can walk to and explore the ruined remains of Innerwick Castle.
The Old Harbour House, ground-floor flat, is literally a stone's throw away from both of Dunbar's historic harbours and ancient ruins. There's always plenty to see on a walk around the neighbourhood with the day's catch coming in, the harbour seal saying hello, the lifeboat crew practising their drills, or you can just soak in the natural beauty. Whether you enjoy fine dining, a craft beer, or both, just a 30 second walk will take you to either Creel Restaurant or the Volunteer Arms. Dunbar high-street is a short walk away and features great craft-shops, an award winning community bakery, several cafes.
