Old photograph of Crofters cottage on the Isle of Coll which is West of Isle Of Mull, Scotland. Compared to older, scattered dwellings where livestock frequently shared half the structure, these newer 19th century croft cottages featured fireplaces and chimneys, considered a major luxury at the time.
