Old photograph of a steam train locomotive in the railway depot in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland. It became a critical freight hub in the late 19th century, particularly supporting local coal and shale oil industries. Bathgate town is by the M8 motorway 5 miles West of Livingston. Nearby towns are Armadale, Blackburn, Linlithgow, Livingston, West Calder and Whitburn.
