Old photograph of the railway station in Crookston, Glasgow, Scotland. The station was opened by the Glasgow and South Western Railway on 1 July 1885. It was temporarily closed due to the First World War on 1 January 1917 reopening after the war. Following review of the finances of operations of railway services operated by Strathclyde Passenger Transport Executive, funding for the line was withdrawn resulting in the closure of the station on 10 January 1983. The station re-opened on 28 July 1990 at the same time as the Paisley Canal Line was re-opened by British Rail.
