Old Photograph Hotel Shiskine Island Of Arran Scotland

Old photograph of the hotel in Shiskine, Island of Arran, Scotland. The small village of Shiskine is within the parish of Kilmory. It is located further up the Shiskine valley than Blackwaterfoot. The village of Shiskine takes its name from a corruption of the Gaelic for " marshy place ". Much of the area was essentially a swamp years ago, but now comprises farm land.
