Tour Scotland video of a Scottish weaver at a loom on a gravestone in the Parish church graveyard cemetery on ancestry visit to Kirkton of Monikie in Angus, Scotland. Kirkton of Monikie is located a mile east northeast of the village of Monikie and 4 miles north west of Carnoustie. The church was built in 1812 on the site of a previous church built in the late 17th or early 18th centuries, although a church here first appears in the record in the 12th century, when it was gifted to Arbroath Abbey by William the Lion.
