Old Photograph Balcurvie Fife Scotland

Old photograph of cottages in Balcurvie village near Leven, Fife, Scotland. The prefix Bal stems from the Gaelic for a farmstead or township which is baile. The latter half is believed to incorporate the word currach, meaning bog or marshy ground.
