Old photograph of cottages, houses and people in Elie, East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. Local folklore claims an old woman whose house was demolished to " improve the view " from Elie House " cursed the family, predicting they would only last six generations on the estate—a prophecy that reportedly came true.

Nice to see the photograph of the fishing nets drying at the harbour. I can still remember them, along with the Wood Memorial Church and the Marine Hotel.
