Old photograph of Creetown, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Sir Walter Scott set part of his book Guy Mannering in this neighborhood. Dr Thomas Brown, the metaphysician, born 1778, died 1820, was a native of the parish in which Creetown lies.
