This airport is ideally positioned in the heart of Scotland, located 4 miles north east of Perth giving good access to the motorway network providing a quick route to the business centres of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. I live very close to this airport and often shoot photographs and videos on a walk near here.

Tour Scotland Autumn Photographs Cargill and Burrelton Church Perthshire

Tour Scotland Autumn photograph of Cargill and Burrelton Church, Perthshire, Scotland. Burrelton village was laid out in 1812, and named after Peter Drummond Burrell. Burrelton Church, situated in Woodside, was built in 1855. There was originally a congregation of the Burgher denomination in Burrelton. It eventually became associated with the Church of Scotland but entered the Free Church at the Disruption in 1843. On the Union of the Church of Scotland with the United Free Church in 1929, the congregation of Burrelton again became a congregation of the Church of Scotland and to the charge at Burrelton the Presbytery of Perth assigned the Burrelton and Woodside area of the old parish.

Tour Scotland Autumn photograph shot today of Meikleour Beech Hedge Perthshire, Scotland. The Meikleour Beech Hedge, located near Meikleour, alongside the A93 Perth-Blairgowrie Road, was planted in the autumn of 1745 by Jean Mercer and her husband, Robert Murray Nairne on the Marquess of Lansdowne's Meikleour estate. It is said the hedge grows towards the heavens because the men who planted it were killed at the Battle of Culloden.

Tour Scotland Autumn video of the Parish Church and Churchyard in Kirkmichael, Strathardle, Perthshire, Scotland. The Church of Scotland parish church of Kirkmichael is situated on the main road through the village. The church dates back to the 18th century and is built on a site used for worship for over 1000 years. It is surrounded by the original graveyard which contains graves dating back to the time of the Black Death.

They are often built to marking a grave or in memory of a loved one in their passing. An ancient Scottish blessing, " Cuiridh mi clach air do charn " means " I will put a stone on your cairn ".
