Old Photograph Cooper Street Plockton Wester Ross Scotland
Old photograph of houses on Cooper Street in Plockton, Wester Ross, Scotland. Most of the houses date from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It was a planned community based on fishing in an attempt to stem the tide of emigration from the Highlands. The television series Hamish Macbeth, starring Robert Carlyle, was filmed there, substituting for the fictional Lochdubh. Plockton was also used for various scenes in the film The Wicker Man and the Inspector Alleyn Mysteries television series.

Old Photograph Road To Uig Isle Of Skye Scotland
Old photograph of a cottage on the road to Uig, Isle Of Skye, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. Uig is situated partly on the raised beach around the head of the bay and partly on the steep slopes behind it. Two watercourses enter the bay at Uig; the River Rha from the north and the River Conon which drains Glen Uig to the east. The lower courses of both of these small rivers are characterised by waterfalls. Uigg, Prince Edward Island, Canada was named by settlers from Uig.

Old photograph of Postmen and people outside the Post Office in Portree, Isle Of Skye, Scotland. Portree is the home of a fictional professional Quidditch team in the Harry Potter universe called the Pride of Portree. The film Made of Honor partially takes place in Portree. A sweeping shot of the town's main street is shown.

Old Photograph Staircase Kinfauns Castle Perthshire Scotland
Old photograph the staircase in Kinfauns Castle near Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. Kinfauns Castle was designed by Robert Smirke and built between 1822 and 1826 by Lord Gray on the site of a medieval stronghold, founded by the Charteris family. Kinfauns was the family seat from the 14th century.
