Old photograph of the beach by Rosemarkie on the South coast of the Black Isle peninsula in Scotland. This is a Scottish village on the south coast of the Black Isle. It is located a quarter of a mile east of the town of Fortrose. The pair make up the Royal Burgh Of Fortrose and Rosemarkie, situated either side of the Chanonry Ness promontory, approximately twelve miles north-east of Inverness. Rosemarkie fronts on a wide, picturesque bay, with views of Fort George and the Moray coastline across the Moray Firth.

Old Photograph Rosie's Brae Isle Of Whithorn Scotland
Old photograph of Rosie's Brae road in Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The word Brae in Scots, means a steep bank or hillside. The harbour remains the main focal point of the village. The Isle's own fleet is engaged in light trawling and lobster fishing. A number of leisure craft are kept here and the Isle is increasingly being used as a stopping off location for pleasure traffic plying the west coast, and as a launching site for trailer based craft such as small angling boats and diving RIB's.Various scenes from the 1973 film The Wicker Man were filmed in and around the Isle of Whithorn.

Tour Scotland Video Parish Church Logierait Perthshire
Tour Scotland video of the parish church and graveyard on ancestry visit to Logierait, Perthshire, Scotland. This Scottish village was the birthplace of the sociologist Adam Ferguson born 1723, died 1816, and the Canadian politicians John McIntosh, born 1796, died 1853 and Alexander Mackenzie, born 1822, died 1892, Canada's second Prime Minister. The church is of early Christian origin dedicated to Coeddi, Bishop of Iona in the early 8th century.

Old photograph of the ferry at Logierait, Perthshire, Scotland. Logierait is a village in Atholl, Scotland. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Tay and Tummel, half a mile west of the A9 road. It was the birthplace of the sociologist Adam Ferguson and the Canadian politician John McIntosh and Alexander Mackenzie, Canada's second Prime Minister. Nearby is an ancient Ash tree, the Dule Tree of the district from which thieves and murderers were hanged.

Old Photograph Cottages And Houses Port William Scotland
Old photograph cottages and houses in Port William, Wigtownshire, Scotland. Port William is a small fishing village in the parish of Mochrum, Wigtownshire, Dumfries and Galloway, in south west Scotland. It is surrounded by the hamlets of Elrig, Mochrum and Monreith. The village lies 23 miles east of the town of Stranraer, on the coast of Luce Bay. It looks directly over to the Mull of Galloway, the most southerly point of the Scottish mainland and, on a clear day, both the Isle of Man, and Ireland are visible from the rugged coastline.
