This is a Catholic cathedral in the West End of the city of Dundee. The cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Dunkeld Perthshire and mother church of the Diocese of Dunkeld within the Province of St Andrews and Edinburgh. There are two side altars in the cathedral; one is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the other to Mary, the Mother of Jesus under her title of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. As in all Catholic churches, the cathedral has a set of the Stations of the Cross on the walls. In the vestibule there is a statue of the cathedral's patron saint, Saint Andrew. At the back of the cathedral is the baptistry next to which is a representation of the Pietà.

Tour Scotland Video Stainless Steel Mirrored Tardis Dundee Tayside

Tour Scotland video of a stainless steel mirrored Tardis in the Contemporary Arts Centre on visit to the city of Dundee, Tayside, Scotland. DCA opened on March 20, 1999, but the idea of establishing a visual arts centre in Dundee had been discussed by many concerned parties from the middle of the 1980s. In particular, there was a desire to both nurture the students and graduates of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, now a school of the University of Dundee and one of the leading art colleges in the UK, and to build upon the work of those involved with the, now defunct, Seagate Gallery and Dundee Printmakers' Workshop.

Tour Scotland Video Of Old Photographs Of Saltcoats North Ayrshire

Tour Scotland wee video of old photographs of Saltcoats, a small town on the west coast of North Ayrshire, Scotland. The name is derived from the town's earliest industry when salt was harvested from the sea water of the Firth of Clyde, carried out in small cottages along the shore. In the late 18th Century, several shipyards operated at Saltcoats, producing some 60 to 70 ships. The leading shipbuilder was William Ritchie, but in 1790 he moved his business to Belfast. By the early 19th Century the town no longer produced ships. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
