Bon Accord is a former lock keeper's cottage, ideally located in Fort Augustus with the Caledonian Canal to the front of the property and the River Oich to the rear. The beautiful village of Fort Augustus offers various shops, pubs and eating places, and of course the world famous Loch Ness. The spacious dining kitchen is perfect for family meals together, and a full range of equipment and crockery is provided. The kitchen also opens onto a large secluded decked patio suitable for outside dining, overlooking the garden. From the comfortable lounge you can relax with the Stovax log-burning stove and Freeview TV, or you can watch the various boats travel through the world-famous Telford Locks. A large main bedroom with King-sized bed and a pretty double bedroom offering a further two single beds. A Family bathroom with over-bath shower. A large private garden to the rear, with family-friendly lockable gates and parking for one vehicle.
Vatersay is one of three former canal worker cottages making up a pretty hamlet of holiday homes at Kytra Lock, a tranquil and secluded waterside spot just outside Fort Augustus on the Caledonian Canal. The cottages boast polished wood floors downstairs and period fireplaces. The use of traditional fabrics also adds to the delightful ambience of these lock keepers' cottages, which have been recently restored by Scottish Canals. Vatersay Cottage is positioned on the west side of the canal and provides accommodation for five. Upstairs there is a single bedroom plus a spacious twin bedroom with a delightful window seat overlooking the canal, so you can watch the world sail by. There is a further double bedroom on the ground floor, a bathroom and a compact, yet well-equipped kitchen. Also downstairs, there is a sitting/dining room with a wood-burning stove and a second sitting room, ideal for curling up with a good book or enjoying the canalside views. The cottage has a private garden area with outdoor furniture, overlooking the canal.
Tigh Na Coilltean cottage is located close to the village of Fort Augustus, at the southern end of Loch Ness, this self catering holiday home cottage is an ideal base for exploring much of the highlands of Scotland. This peaceful setting at the edge of the Inchnacardoch forest is just three quarters of a mile away from the heart of Fort Augustus, where there are shops, pubs and restaurants. The Caledonian Canal runs through the centre of Fort Augustus from Loch Ness, where boats can be seen negotiating a staircase of canal locks. Other local attractions include golf, fishing, The Great Glen Way, riverside and forest walks and boat trips on Loch Ness. Just 30 miles from the Nevis range the accommodation's location is also ideal for winter sports.
Bowmore is nestled amongst the most beautiful greenery, tall majestic trees to the back of the property and a beautiful landscaped garden with large patio area making the most of the sun trap. Ideal for barbecues on those long summer Scottish evenings. The address, Abbey Gardens, gives away its history. Abbey Gardens was the vegetable patch tended by the monks when it was a working monastery. Bowmore is a stylish and comfortable holiday accommodation. Free wifi included.
Fettercairn cottage is set in its own private garden, surrounded by beautiful trees. Just a few minutes' walk away is the southern tip of Loch Ness, while the friendly, enchanting village of Fort Augustus has a good selection of bars, restaurants and convenience shops. Drover's Cottage is a traditional terraced cottage situated in Burrell Square, just a short walk from Crieff town centre. This much loved holiday cottage is beautifully presented and is warm, welcoming and comfortable for a short break or self-catering holiday in Crieff. As well as the spacious living room you will find a second family room with games, TV and DVD, the pefect chill out area for the family. The pretty cottage garden is to the rear of the house and in summer guests can enjoy sitting out on the patio with a good book and glass of wine. Visitors are welcome to use the large secure basement to store bikes, golf equipment or other holiday essentials. Crieff is a charming market town and you will find everything from wonderful walks to artisan galleries. Drover's Cottage is located centrally to all of the nearby ameneties and has a parking space included with the accommodation.
Strathview Cottage is spacious, yet cosy cottage with large open plan living accommodation. The sitting room has a wood burning stove (logs are included in the rental) which lends itself perfectly to relaxing with friends, family or with a good book. It has 4 luxurious super-king ensuite bedrooms which can all be made into twin beds should you wish. The modern kitchen is beautifully appointed with plenty of storage space, seating for 8 around a large pine farmhouse kitchen table and all appliances required to cook up a storm, 5 burner gas hob, oven, microwave, American Style fridge-freezer with water and ice machine and dishwasher. With stunning views overlooking the Strathearn Valley, this cottage is ideally located for both relaxing rural getaways or as a base to explore Perthshire and the surrounding area. Visit Drummond Castle gardens which were first laid out in the early 17th century by John Drummond, the 2nd Earl of Perth. They were enlarged and redesigned in the 19th century, and replanted after the Second World War. Preserving features such as the old yew hedges and the copper beech tree planted by Queen Victoria to commemorate her visit in 1842. Visit The Library of Innerpeffray. Scotland's oldest free public lending Library, founded in 1680. Visit Cultybraggan Camp, built in 1941 by the Jewish Pioneer Core, housed 4,000 Prisoners of War between 1944 and 1947. Known as the 'Black Camp of the North', it had a notoriously hard reputation housing dozens of SS officers, members of the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe & Marine Corps.
Lincluden is a bright, spacious, comfortable, well equipped Edwardian sandstone house accommodating 10+, with reduced rates for small groups. The house has secluded gardens with a large lawn area, a vegetable plot, a chicken house for a daily supply of fresh eggs, a patio with a picnic table, and a built in BBQ. and a selection of recliners and outdoor games equipment. The huge lounge has an open fire, a wide selection of books, toys, games, CDs and DVDs. The dining room has a farmhouse table to seat 10 adjoining a well-equipped kitchen and a separate laundry with washing machine and tumble drier. There is a king sized bedroom downstairs with en-suite shower room with excellent access for disabled guests. The bed is zip-linked and can be separated into two single beds if required.Upstairs, at the front of the house, the spacious master bedroom has a king-sized bed and views of the Ochil Hills from the bay window. Next to this is a twin bedroom.At the rear of the house there is another king-sized bedroom with a twin bedroom off, a luxury family bathroom with bath and shower, a separate shower room and toilet.We can provide a cot and additional single mattresses and bedding if required.There is a driveway to the rear of the house offering wheelchair access via a ramp.
Avonlea cottage accommodates up to 4 people in a two bedroomed period semi-detached cottage complete with gas central heating and triple glazing to the upstairs bedrooms throughout. We are literally less than a minutes walk from the town centre where there is a good selection of excellent pubs, restaurants and interesting local shops to meander through. This is an ideal base, both for those who like to relax and take things easy, and those who enjoy outdoor activities like hill-walking, golfing, cycling and fishing. Ideal for golf, clubs can be provided, fishing, and cycling. Perthshire and Crieff have many other activities and places to visit for families and couples.
Galvelbeg House apartment is totally self-contained from the main house and includes a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and over bath shower, a fully fitted modern dining kitchen, additional downstairs WC and a lounge with TV and CD player. In the lounge is a modern double fully sprung sofa bed which quickly converts into extra sleeping accommodation. To the rear of the property is the apartment's own entrance and small private south facing outdoor seating area. For week-long lets the apartment has a complimentary welcome basket of local produce to get you started. If requested we can carry out a full shop for you from the local supermarket so you can arrive and get straight into holiday mode. There is off main road parking for one car. Prices include all hot water, electricity and heating charges. Bed linen and towels are provided.

This might be a Romanian horn violin which is similar to the Stroh violin. It was built through the 20th century. It has the same length as the Stroh violin, but its horn is narrower and yields a more directional sound. The structure of the instrument is based on the element of an old-fashioned gramophone.
