Old photograph of the bridge over the River Anna to Annan, near Dumfries, Scotland. The River Annan is a river in South West Scotland. It rises Annanhead Hill and flows through the Devil's Beef Tub, Moffat and Lockerbie, reaching the sea at Annan, Dumfries and Galloway. It is one of the region's foremost fishing rivers.

Old Photograph Tolbooth Sanquhar Scotland

Old photograph of the Tolbooth in Sanquhar, Scotland. Sanquhar is the name of both a parish and the town, that is at its heart. It is located amid the rolling pastures and hills of Southern Scotland. Sanquhar is in the northwestern part of the county of Dumfriesshire. Sanquhar Tolbooth was built in 1735 on the site of its predecessor. Stone from Sanquhar Castle was used mainly in its construction.

Old Photograph Railway Station Abercairney Perthshire Scotland

Old photograph of the railway station in Abercairney, Perthshire, Scotland. Opened on 21 May 1866 by the Crieff and Methven Junction Railway, then absorbed by the Caledonian Railway, it became part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway during the Grouping of 1923. Passing on to the Scottish Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948, the station was closed to passenger traffic by the British Railways Board on 1 October 1951.
