Old Photograph Fincastle House Scotland
Old photograph of Fincastle house located West of Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire, Scotland. Sir Robert Gilmour Colquhoun, K.C.B. born 1803, died 1870, who for seven years served as Consul General in Egypt died in Fincastle house. He was educated at Pembroke College, Oxford, England. He was appointed Consul in Bucharest, Romania on 18 January 1835, Consul-General on 15 December 1837, and Agent and Consul-General on 18 November 1851. He received the Order of the Nichan Iftikhar. He was employed in Bosnia in 1854. He was appointed Agent and Consul-General in Egypt on 14 January 1859. He served there until he retired in 1865 with the confidence and respect of the British government, and the rank of Knight-Commander of the Bath.

Old Photograph Rannagulzion House Scotland
Old photograph of Rannagulzion house, Bridge Of Cally, Perthshire, Scotland. James Rattray of Rannagulzion and Corb fought at the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689. He was the son of David Rattray of Rannagullane. William Rattray, eldest son of James Rattray of Rannagullane matriculated at St Salvator’s College in St Andrews, Fife, on February 15, 1636, and graduated Master of Arts in 1639.

Old Photograph Arbeadie Scotland
Old photograph of cottages, farmer and sheep in Arbeadie near Banchory, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Its history is part of the ancient region of Aberdeenshire, which was inhabited by the Picts, later Christianized, and developed by powerful Scottish clans.

Old Photographs Golf Course Braemar Scotland
Old photograph of golfers on the golf course by Braemar, Royal Deeside, Scotland. Braemar Golf Club was founded in March 1902. Braemar is the highest 18 hole Scottish golf course at around 1,200 feet above sea level.
