Old photograph of Bourtie Kirk in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Bourtie Kirk has a tradition of over 800 years of Christian worship. It lies in the midst of Aberdeenshire fields at Kirkton of Bourtie, over Barra hill from Oldmeldrum. Records show that there was a church in Bourtie in 1190 but the present Kirk was rebuilt in 1806.

Old photograph of King Hall in Grange, Moray, Scotland. Grange is a parish in the Scottish county of Moray that dates back to a royal charter granting the lands to the abbots and monks of Kinloss in 1196. James Ferguson, born 25 April 1710, died 17 November 1776, astronomer and inventor, was born at a place called Core of Mayen near Grange.
