Old photograph of Renfield Street, Glasgow, Scotland. Named by Archibald Campbell of Blythswood after his estate near Renfrew, is known for its slope and its importance as a location for office-based businesses, picture houses, and theaters, most notably the Paramount/Odeon cinema.

Old Photograph Cottages Kilmahog Scotland


Old photograph of cottages at Kilmahog in the Trossachs, Scotland. Remains of first century Roman ramparts attributed to the campaigns of Agricola can be seen in the fields to the east of the village. Kilmahog used to be the site of St. Chug's chapel, after which it is named. All that remains of the chapel is a small burial ground with stones dating back to the late 17th century. Kilmahog was the site of an early 19th century toll house and later a tweed mill.

Old Photographs Galashiels Scotland

Old photograph of Market Square in Galashiels, Scottish Borders of Scotland. The town's coat of arms shows two foxes reaching up to eat plums from a tree, and the motto is Sour Plums pronounced in Scots as soor plooms. It is a reference to an incident in 1337 when a raiding party of English soldiers were picking wild plums close to the town and were caught by Scots who came across them by chance and slaughtered them all

Tour Scotland Video Of Perth And District Pipe Band Perth Perthshire June 9th



Tour Scotland video shot today of Perth and District Pipe Band in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. This Scottish Pipe Band were fundraising today in the High Street in the city centre of Perth. The objects of the Band are 'to promote and develop the playing of the Highland Bagpipe and Pipe Band drumming; and to provide tuition in piping and drumming.
