It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and is open to the public. Glamis Castle was the childhood home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, later Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother the widow of king George VI. Her second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was born there.

Tour Scotland video shot this morning of the Remembrance Day Commemoration in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. A windy and overcast morning in Perth for the Garden of Remembrance Ceremony which was held at the Mercat Cross in the centre of Perth. There is, of course, the sounding of the Last Post, followed by a 2 minute silence, followed by the sounding of The Rouse. The Scottish Poppy Appeal is just one of the ways you can support our heroes. " They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. "
