Tour Scotland video of young Scots musicians at the Folk Festival in Stonehaven Scotland. Stonehaven is a town in Aberdeenshire. It lies on Scotland's north east coast. After the demise of the town of Kincardine, which was gradually abandoned after the destruction of its Royal castle in the Wars of Independence, the Scottish Parliament made Stonehaven the successor county town of Kincardineshire. Stonehaven had grown around an Iron Age fishing village, and expanded inland from the seaside. As late as the 16th century, old maps indicate the town was called Stonehyve, Stonehive, Pont also adding the alternative Duniness. It is known informally to locals as Stoney.

Tour Scotland video of tourists being taught Scottish Country Dancing at the Highland Games in Stirling, Scotland. Spectators are the games today were invited on to the games field to try out Scottish Country Dancing. A Scottish Country dance is a form of social dance involving groups of couples of dancers tracing progressive patterns according to a predetermined choreography. Country dancing is sometimes mistaken for a type of folk dancing, but it is actually the ballroom dance form of Scotland, as its original base of dancers was from the more educated and wealthy classes of the Renaissance.

Tour Scotland Video Pipe Band Highland Games Stirling
Tour Scotland video of a Pipe Band at the Highland Games in Stirling, Scotland. The Balaklava Pipes & Drums are based in Stirling, Scotland, and practice in the 51st Highland Division T.A Camp at Springkerse. The band is affiliated to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Association, and wears full No.1 Dress of the regiment. The band is a non competing, voluntary association and most of the members live around the Stirling and Falkirk area.

Tour Scotland video of Scottish Country Dancers at the Highland Games in Stirling, Scotland. Scottish country dancing is a social form of dance with three or more couples of dancers, and should not be confused with Scottish highland dance, a solo form of dance. There is a certain amount of cross-over, in that there are Scottish country dances that include highland elements as well as highland style performance dances which use formations otherwise seen in country dances, but these are relatively few when the two dance forms are considered each as a whole.
