October 21st photograph of Tullibardine Chapel, by Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland. This Scottish Chapel is a small medieval church founded by the Murray family for the use of the Earls and Dukes of Atholl. Marquis of Tullibardine is the title of the eldest son to the Duke of Atholl.

It is one of the most complete and unaltered small medieval churches in Scotland, founded in 1446 and largely rebuilt about 1500. The church today is no longer in use, but much of the architectural detail has survived.

October 21st Photograph Methven Castle Scotland


October 21st photograph of Methven Castle, just West of Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. The present castle just east of the village of Methven, was built by the Duke of Lennox, and dates from the mid 17th century. It was one of the last traditional tower house style castles to be built in Scotland. In has been recently restored.
