Tour Scotland photograph of the Melville Monument, St Andrews Square, Edinburgh, Scotland. Erected in 1823 in honour of Henry Dundas, the Melville Monument stands proud in St Andrews Square. Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville PC, born 28th of April 1742, died 28th of May 1811, was a Scottish lawyer and politician. He was the first Secretary of State for War and both the first and last person to be impeached in the United Kingdom. The statue depicts Dundas looking towards George Street.

Tour Scotland Photograph Rising Moon Edinburgh Castle


Tour Scotland photograph of the moon rising above Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh Castle is built upon the remains of an extinct volcano, originally known as Lookout Hill but now known as Castle Rock, which has been used as a stronghold for over 3000 years. There has been a royal castle on the rock since at least the reign of King David I in the 12th century, and the site continued to be a royal residence until the Union of the Crowns in 1603.

Simply titled Scones, this quality publication educates the reader about the history of scones, provides numerous tips and tricks to achieve the best results and includes a conversion chart to cater for international readership. Each of the 50 mouth-watering recipes has its own introduction and full colour photograph. While the book first appears to have a narrow focus, it quickly broadens the reader's expectations as to what can be achieved, with a huge number of variations on the base subject e.g. Cranberry and Greek yoghurt pinwheels or sour cream griddle scones. Photograph of a dog at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. The immense castellated mansion of Balmoral is set in the gently wooded countryside of the River Dee. Robert II had a hunting lodge here, the Sir Malcolm Drummond built a tower on the same site.
