Tour Scotland Photograph Rising Moon Edinburgh Castle

Tour Scotland photograph of the moon rising above Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh Castle is built upon the remains of an extinct volcano, originally known as Lookout Hill but now known as Castle Rock, which has been used as a stronghold for over 3000 years. There has been a royal castle on the rock since at least the reign of King David I in the 12th century, and the site continued to be a royal residence until the Union of the Crowns in 1603.
