Old photograph of the High Street, Dundee, Scotland. Dundee is the fourth-largest city in Scotland. Its history begins with the Picts in the Iron Age. During the Medieval Era, it was the site of many battles. Throughout the Industrial Revolution, the local jute industry caused the city to grow rapidly. In this period, Dundee also gained prominence due to its marmalade industry and its journalism, giving Dundee its epithet as the city of " jute, jam and journalism ".

Old photograph of The Square, Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This town was formerly known as Milton of Strathbogie.
Famous Scots from Huntly include;
William Milne, born 1785, died 1822, born at Kennethmont near Huntly, was the second British Protestant missionary to China, following Robert Morrison. He was the founding headmaster of the first Anglo-Chinese school, Ying Wa College, in 1818 at Malacca.
John Perie, born 1831, died 1874, was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, he was born in Huntly.
Ian Cameron, father of British Prime Minister, David Cameron, was from Glass, Huntly; he was born at Blairmore House.

Old Photograph Harbour Methil Scotland
Old photograph of the harbour at Methil, Fife, Scotland. There was probably a harbour at Methil by the 17th century and in 1795 a tramroad was built to it for the carriage of coal. The modern dock system results from improvements carried out in 1872 by the Wemyss family and in 1907 by the North British Railway. The Forth Ports Authority was formed in 1968 to control the ports of Leith, Grangemouth, Burntisland, Methil, Kirkcaldy and Granton, from headquarters at Leith, Edinburgh.

Old Photographs Burntisland Scotland
Old photograph of the High Street in Burntisland, Fife, Scotland. Burntisland is home to the second oldest Scottish highland games in the world starting in 1652. The Games take place on the third Monday of July, the start of the Fife and Glasgow fair fortnight holiday, and a local market and summer fairground takes place on the same day.

Old Photograph High Street Dunblane Scotland
Old photograph of the High Street, Dunblane, Scotland. Dunblane is an Ancient cathedral city and former burgh on the Allan Water north of Stirling. The present Dunblane Cathedral, dedicated to St Blane, dates from the 13th century, with restorations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The town is situated off the A9 road which has been bypassed since 1991, on the way north to Perth, Perthshire.
