August 15th photograph of spectators at the Highland Games in Perth, Scotland. Perth Highland Games have grown from strength to strength and are one of the most popular venues on the Highland Games circuit. The heavyweights prove most popular in throwing the weight for distance, shot putt, throwing weight over the bar, and tossing the caber.
Other events are highland dancing, solo piping, running, cycling, tug-o-war, and the fantastic pipe band contest with 20 bands from all over the world.

August 13th photograph of the River Tay in Perth, Scotland. The River Tay originates in the Scottish Highlands and flows down through Strathtay, in the centre of Scotland, through Perth and into the Firth of Tay, south of Dundee. It is the longest river in Scotland and the seventh longest in the United Kingdom. It is the largest river in the UK by volume of discharge.
