Old photograph of Oxenfoord Castle, Midlothian, Scotland. Originally a 16th century tower house, the present castle is largely the result of major rebuilding in 1782, to designs by the architect Robert Adam. Oxenfoord was the seat of the Earl of Stair from 1840, and remains in private ownership.

Old photograph of Muirhead of Liff by Dundee, Scotland. In 1805, the first house, a roadside tavern, was built, prior to that, the area was largely broom covered moorland belonging to the Birkhill estate.

Old Photographs Craigmarloch Scotland
Old photograph of Craigmarloch, Scotland. Craigmarloch was originally an area to the north of Cumbernauld, close to Kilsyth and adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal. The land was previously Auchinbee Farm; the original farmhouse still stands and now serves as a nursery. The name " Craigmarloch " was borrowed from a nearby locality to the north near Kilsyth.
